Assumption Parish Center

ARCHITECT

 Daniel Krief, R.A.
LOCATION

 Morristown, NJ
PROJECT TYPE

 New Construction

PROJECT DETAILS

Assumption Parish presented DKA with the challenge of maintaining the architectural beauty of the church's classical forms while providing the modern amenities required for this parish center.

DKA designed a new building that would be attached to the existing church with interior access between the two buildings. The exterior appearance of the new parish center was created to harmonize perfectly with the historic church.

The Gothic window sills and exterior materials of the new parish center match the style and design of those used in the original church. Stained glass panels, preserved from the 1870's have been incorporated into the design of the addition's exterior doors. DKA design original trusses, arches, windows and keystones in the Gothic style.
